Raw Registration in Shop Floor
Posted Thursday, May 7th, 2009
When entering time into Shop Floor Control in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, the time that is entered is recorded as a raw registration. Raw registrations cannot be deleted or changed and are stored as a record of any information entered into the system. If you delete someone’s time for a certain day and re-enter their time, say as a correction, then both sets of time entries are stored as a raw registration. If you then use the Restore Lines button, all the data in the raw registrations table is recalled for the selected employee on the specified day.
However, if electronic timecard is used to enter time into the system, the time is not stored as a raw registration. So if any changes are later made to the data entered into electronic timecard, the original information cannot be recalled. If the time entered via electronic timecard is deleted, then the Restore Lines button can still be used to recall the entered time from electronic timecard.
