Continuing on the Dynamics GP 2010 adventure the home page has a few new items but this one really stood out. It is called Connect. This area of the homepage scrolls through a series of 8 updated windows linked to Dynamics GP and Accounting related information. As the next window is highlighted in a 5 second interval titles from RSS feeds, blogs, websites, training and community forums appear allowing convenient access to users. Access to the Connect page is Free. Click here to view the Dynamics GP Connect Page and learn more.
Connect
This area displays a series of slides that allow you to perform self-help support, get information, and perform training from the home page. Connect is available to all users on the home page and is specific to each user’s home page role. CustomerSource access is based on your Business Ready Enhancement Plan. To enable Connect, use the Customize Home Page window. If you are using Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration, be sure to add the Microsoft Dynamics Online Connect Web site as a trusted site.

Every 5 second the Connect page scrolls…

Despite the holidays, here at I.B.I.S., we’ve been passing around this article on keeping your promises. In our customer centric world it is important for us to remember to commit to what we can accomplish. Just as important, we shouldn’t over commit. Most of us tend toward over achievement and over performance but that can also lead to over commitment which ironically, takes away from our achievents and performance.
Most interesting is that none of this started from the top down, but from the middle. Our desire to be the provider you trust runs deep into the organization and we value the opportunity to meet our commitments to you this year.
(Hat Tip to Vanessa for starting this.)

In case you missed it last week, Service Pack 3 for Dynamics GP 10 is now available. SP3 is doesn’t contain nearly as many changes as FP1/SP2 did. It’s more updates and fixes and less new functionality. As always, test before you implement any fixes and if you feel you want help putting this in, give us a call.

iSight is our annual conference for I.B.I.S. clients. This year it is being held on October 15 in Atlanta and October 16 in Charlotte. I’m working on two terrific presentations, one around Workflow for Dynamics GP and another session I’ve tentatively titled 50 GP Tips in 50 minutes.
This one will blow your socks off (unless you are Curtis who never wears socks). I’ve got 50 tips across 8 modules and every level of expertise from beginner to expert. There is something in here for everyone.
If you are an I.B.I.S. client, you need to be at iSight. Heck you need to be there just to see if I can do 50 GP tips in 50 minutes. If I can, you’ll learn something, if not, you’ll get a laugh seeing me try!
