Accounts Receivable in Dynamics 2012 has been enhanced in the following areas-

Interest Calculations, Customer Payment Journals List, Recurring Free Text Invoices, Customer Reimbursement Address, Multiple Invoice Formats, Organization hierarchy for Centralized Payments, and last but not least…Settlements. With AX 2009, the TQM (Total Quality Management) module was added by acquisition. What is “total quality management”? Why would anyone desire less than “total” quality management? This past Sunday afternoon, while recovering from Saturday’s festivities, I was relaxing with the dog and kids at a local park, when I noticed another dad scanning the playground with a metal detector.  Although initially skeptical, he was adding to his collection on a regular basis, which I thought was odd, as this was a new park.  After a while, I approached him to see what he had found, and was completely astonished with the pile of loot.  In about an hour’s time, he had managed to find several antique coins, what looked like bullets from the War Between the States, and some fairly nice looking pieces of jewelry. While recently trying to meddle in Management Reporter, to keep myself up to date, I ran across the following error. “Cannot connect to the Management Reporter Server. Do you want to specify a different server address?” It’s a very annoying error message if I say so myself. Everything was installed properly and I just could not figure out why this was happening…

During a recent session of testing, a problem became apparent when addresses weren’t printing on certain documents.  It was like the addresses didn’t know where they were supposed to be. Once realized, our question devolved to a level where we wanted to see where addresses are entered, how to point an address to the proper document, and how to turn on/off address functionality for documents. Earlier this week, while stuck in traffic, I received a call from one of my favorite customers regarding some issues she was experiencing with credit notes in Dynamics AX 2009. Like trying to work on a classic American car with metric wrenches, she was finding that the standard credit note functionality just wasn’t the fit she was expecting.
